It oversees and manages the entire electoral process for student body elections, ensuring fairness, transparency, and efficiency at every stage. Through awareness campaigns, informative sessions, and structured events, we aim to empower every student to make informed choices and ensure their voice is heard. The Commission comprises dedicated individuals who work tirelessly to uphold the integrity and smooth execution of elections, setting a high benchmark for democracy in academic institutions.

The Senate Hall at IIT Kanpur stands as a symbol of structure, governance, and informed decision-making within the campus. Architecturally elegant and centrally located, this prestigious hall regularly hosts official meetings, including those of the Election Commission.
EDAD or Executive Dialogue and Debate is a three-day event consisting of sessions for the positions of General Secretaries and Presidential candidates.
SOAP BOX is an interactive open forum where members of the student body engage with candidates by questioning their credentials, proposals, and manifestos.
